Panama is an ideal location for making any kind of movies, Rafaella De Laurentiis

Panama, February 9, 2012 - Hollywood film producer, Raffaella De Laurentiis, expressed  support for the Panama International Film Festival and acknowledged that the country is an ideal venue for filmmaking. 
She is well known in America’s  film Mecca as the producer of such screen hits as Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer, starring  Arnold Schwarzenegger;  Dune, David Lynch, The Last Legion,  with Colin Firth   and Aishwarya  Ray,  and The Forbidden Kingdom with Jet Li and Jackie Chan. De Laurentiis  praised the initiative to hold a film festival in Panama,  destined  to become a cultural junction  in the region and a platform for new offerings  to the  world of cinema.
“To me, a film festival like IFF Panama is a very good idea. The country is privileged for being in the middle of the two Americas and at the same time it is a great starting point to do business”, expressed De Laurentiis during her stay in Panama.
The producer and honorary member of the Board of Directors of IFF Panama, and daughter of legendary filmmaker Dino De Laurentiis and renowned actress Silvana Mangano, praised the advantages Panama offers for filmmaking:
"I don’t think the world realizes that Panama is a great place to make movies. The city is fantastic, the location, the sea, the islands… It is a fantastic country. I think that Panama is ideal for any type of movie. You can recreate parts of South America from here, rivers, seas...  I love Panama ... I'm thrilled. "
